Whew! Been a tad neglectful of my blog. There has been so much going on and i haven't taken the time to write anything down! Not that my life is exciting to anyone else but me! I have a great life filled with fun and adventure. I try to make that fun and adventure for my family and this weekend was no exception. It really sounded as if it wouldn't be that big of a deal---another yo-yo contest, another juggling festival. However, when juggling is involved, there is ALWAYS a show--intended or not. Here is a video of Will's 2nd place performance in Atlanta. Attached to the beginning is his casting information. More on that later...


Sam performed as well and did a GREAT job. I would post that as well but it's the previous routine that I have posted in an earlier blog!
So between the yo-yo contest and the juggling performances, there was the Seed and Feed Marching Abominable Band of Atlanta, GA Will described it as a marching geriatric transvestite band. Wow, it was pretty crazy and really fun!! My kids really seemed mildly effected. Not such a crazy scene for them apparently.


They were great performers and fun music! Organizations hire them to perform!
Will learned some new Diabolo tricks and Sam learned some new juggling moves. I hula hooped all afternoon and ended up with a bruise on my hip and sore shoulders! Curt tried out a Trikke
and decided it wasn't for him! It looked really fun! We missed the fire hooping, fire poi and fire juggling though. Rats. We got lost trying to find the venue. Note to self: BUY A GPS!!!!
Atlanta is 8 hours from here---a long 8 hours, but it was an adventure and definitely better than staying home and mowing the grass!

Monogrammed Drum and a Preppy Hoop

Alright!! Tonight is the Family Drum Circle in Merritt Island! Woo Hoo! Curt and Sam are a bit leery. Will and I are up for the experience. So much so, that Matt--Will's friend and part time member of our family--is going with us. $15 for a family of 5. It's a beautiful afternoon here and should make for a gorgeous sunset. Sounds a little "love, peace and rainbows" doesn't it?? Yeah, it does. We have one nice drum, but drum's will be provided! Why do I feel drawn to things like this? My husband can't figure it out either. You know I think I am going to say it is because I was born in 1963. Grew up in the sixties and was a teenager going to college as a Preppie. You see, I love the tie-dye as much as I love gold beads, pink & green and anything with a monogram! Barefoot in jeans or madras plaid skirt with espadrilles and pearls--don't forget those! I have really enjoyed blog hopping and seeing all of the Preppie blogs! I am sure there is another person out there who is digging the Hoopnotica link on my site!! Now that is a blend! Get yourself a pink and green hoop and hoop it in your madras!!

Thanksgiving consisted of...Deep fried turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, cranberrylicious salsa, pies,pies, and a cranberry duff!! Writing blessings on a white table cloth, hula hooping, touch football and Black Friday ad perusing, the Moores and the Hendersons I will say I was holding out for the dessert...i love pie. It is my downfall at Thanksgiving. My favorites are my mom's Custard Pie, Coconut Pie and Karo Nut Pie---known outside the Wolfe family as Pecan Pie. Not a big fan of pumpkin pie, although it really is just a Custard pie with pumpkin added, right? We also played "Paper Head" for lack of a better title. Guess I was a little hard on Daniel. He had 'Puritan'.
Anyway, we ate and then out to the front yard before tryptophan had us in it's grip. I brought about 10 home made Hula Hoops and we hooped it! We even took family photos :) Sam could do 4 at a time with the 'Back bump'! We had a great time and drew some sideways looks from passers by! The Hendersons from Jacksonville stopped in for a visit as well. We haven't seen them in about 12 years!
It was such a blessing to be with friends this time of year and year round.
